Rather than treating cow protection as an act of charity separate from commerce, we built cow dung processing into a livelihood. Every packet of Saptaashwah dhoop creates demand for cow dung — which means demand for keeping cows fed, sheltered and cared for instead of abandoned.
The more dhoop we sell, the more cows stay protected in the villages around Varanasi.
